Workshop for Women’s Rights: Prioritising Long-Lasting and Systemic Change in Armenia
Armenia still faces significant challenges in achieving gender justice and combating gender-based violence against women. The objective of this project is to build strong partnerships based on trust, respect, and shared goals between 2-4 Armenian feminist civil society organisations and KVINFO to ensure successful, long-term cooperation on gender justice in Armenia. Women’s Fund Armenia, Women’s Resource Centre Armenia, and KVINFO plan to meet in Yerevan in the fall of 2024 for a two-day workshop to develop their partnership and agree on a Theory of Change for gender justice interventions. The feminist civil society in Armenia requires support to maintain its focus on the long-term systemic changes needed for gender justice, which has been challenging due to frequent emergency responses. Additionally, two gender experts from KVINFO will meet with other potential partners among Armenian feminist civil society organisations.
